  • Wood species available: Douglas Fir, Engleman Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, Western Red Cedar, air-dried, standing dead or green.
  • Sanding of all knots and logging scars
  • Mid diameter sizes from 8" to 18"
  • Douglas Fir structural log beams, joists, roof member, etc. sized according to load bearing requirements.
  • Shrink-to-fit saddle notch joinery at log corners - overscribe method preferred and recommended
  • Shallow cove Swedish cope lateral groove
  • Expandable foam strip gasket for the lateral grooves in exterior walls and for exterior notches
  • Kerf cuts in wall logs to control checking
  • Wide slab cut on base round to cover foundation wall
  • Drip cuts on base round
  • Frame ready:
    • top round flattened for roof framing
    • door and window openings cut, with bevelled edges or similar to your specifications
    • flattening and ledge cuts to accept dimensional framing of floors
  • Slot cuts in log walls to accept finishes at frame wall intersections
  • Drilling of logs for wiring, mortised for electrical boxes
  • Sanding of all exposed chainsaw cuts
  • All necessary settling allowances, including screw jacks
  • Structural thru-bolting and shear wall pinning around doors
  • Delivery to your building site, including:
    • freight charges
    • import duties (where applicable)
    • on-site re-assembly supervisor
