The Retreat is a contemporary home design using mono slab roofs instead of the conventional gable roofs we are so used to for log homes. It has 3030 sqft of living space on the main floor with an openable foyer/breezeway clearly separating the bedroom wing from the great room/dining/kitchen shared living space. A 247 sqft second floor loft including a corner fireplace with an expansive cantilevered large deck protected by a wide roof overhang opens to a mountain view. The master suite has a private covered deck with a hot tub and access to the basement workout room and sauna using a spiral staircase from the hallway. A three car garage is attached to main living space by the mudroom/laundry just off the large kitchen with a spacious walk in pantry. A sun exposed BBQ patio can be reached by double french doors off the dining area. The main fireplace can be viewed from the kitchen, study, dining and of course the sitting room. The unique contemporary foyer serves as an outdoor living area with a corner fireplace when the folding doors are open and can be converted as an opened breezeway while keeping the bedroom wing and shared living space closed. From the foyer we can reach the wine cellar and the mechanical room in the basement. We have displayed a full log construction version and also a log post and beam option for this very unique design. We can easily redesign it for a smaller budget by shrinking the footprint to our customer's wishes.
